This new millennium and 21^st century brings about a multitude of changes; on a personal, professional and a sisterhood level.  The wind of change around us is great and we must be up for the changes.

 “Global Leadership Through Timeless Service” is a formidable, challenging and worthy theme for our implementation for the next four years.  It touches every aspect of our inner being as a person who is committed to human kind and our sisterhood as we seek to be of service to all mankind in our community and abroad. 

To-get-her we can make the changes that we are forced to make.  Remembering that to-get-her we can be strong and our Chapter is no stronger than our weakest link (our weakest sister).  Each sister must be willing to “step up to the plate.” 

Our challenging theme requires total commitment to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, which in other words means, working on more than one initiative, more than one committee, squeezing out the time to attend the meetings, the meetings and the meetings, etc.  

As strong African American women we have and always will find a way to “keep all the balls in the air;” juggling personal, professional, spiritual and Alpha Kappa Alpha sisterhood life.  I am fully committed and hope that you are to.
